Dr. Arthur James is a Triple board certified surgeon in vascular , phlebology ,and general surgery. After graduating from the Uniformed Services University Medical School, and completing his surgical residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham, he developed an interest in laser surgery. He established the Princeton,Hoover, and Shelby Laser Vein Institutes where he serves as Medical Director. Already being well versed in the techniques of tumescent anesthesia and laser usage in his practice, performing SmartLipo was a natural transition. Dr James was trained in the SmartLipo technique by Dr. Richard Goldfarb in Philadelphia, PA and Dr. Todd Malan in Scottsdale, AZ. Both Dr. Goldfarb and Dr. Malan are the top surgeons in the country for SmartLipo. Dr James has been a Smartlipo surgeon for the prestigious Blue med Spa in Atlanta, Ga ( one of the top 55 spas in the world) for the last three years. Dr. James is a current member of many prestigious societies, including the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He was chosen as one of America's Top Surgeons for 2007 and 2008.
