Being as insecure as I was about my body, I knew that I had to do something to raise my confidence level. Liposuction seems like a drastic choice, but with SmartLipo I received the body I wanted and the confidence boost I needed.
The procedure was simple: the doctor gave me an anaesthesia that numbed the trouble area, but didn't knock me out. He then turned on the laser --which was actually just a light beam. After about an hour, I was ready to go out into the world as a new person.
Before choosing SmartLipo I did my research, found out what procedures there were out there for me and what the best option was. I had tried a diet or two, but got bored after a while and the diet mindset is hard to shake if you're depriving yourself even the smallest of life's pleasures --for me, double chocolate chip cookies. So, I came across SmartLipo and was surprised and pleased with what I found out. Depending on the trouble area and how much fat's being removed, the price is doable. As I was only getting fat taken from my thighs and arms, the price was fair. Be prepared. Because this is an aesthetic procedure, your insurance is probably not going to cover the cost.
As far as the after effects go, I was expectedly groggy and my arms and legs were sore. Be sure to go with someone because, I assure you, you're not going to want to --or be able to-- drive yourself back home. The best thing for me was to head straight to sleep in a highly cushioned area to decrease the amount of trauma I suffered. But after about three or four days, I was back up and about at the same energy level as before I went in. After two months I feel great, I look great, and I'm completely satisfied with my body (even if I am still craving those double chocolate chip cookies).
