My doctor was a God-send. His staff was professional and helpful; he was thorough and honest; and the environment around the office was completely supportive. Aside from my doctor's office experience, I was genuinely happy with the results of my procedure. It's now been about four months and I feel the best I've felt in the last 10 years.
I had an all around problem with excess fat in my abdominal area, my arms, and my chin. I had never wanted to get liposuction -- we all hear the nightmare stories of people who decided to go under the knife. I didn't want to become one of those stories. But SmartLipo is something completely different, something genuinely life altering. Firstly, the operation was done while I was standing up --different, but the doctor told me that doing it that way allowed him to better gauge the results. He administered a local anaesthesia, which kept me awake for the operation. That was actually the most painful part of the operation. Though not exactly a blast to go through, that was the worst of it. Although I could see what was happening, I didn't feel what the laser was doing. After the procedure, my doctor had removed 20 CCs from my chin, 1/2 litre from my stomach, and about 75 MLs from my arms.
After I left the office, I had to call a cab service. I had gotten laser whitening done about a year before and didn't need anaesthesia, so I unfortunately thought the same thing would happen in this situation with laser surgery. How wrong I was. I was staggering everywhere; however, I wasn't groggy for too long; after about two hours I was up and about playing with my kids. My trouble areas no longer trouble me, and I actually have a bit more energy thanks to the removal of all that excess fat.
